During the National Association of Community Health Center’s (NACHC’s) 34th Policy and Issues Forum held in Washington, DC, Mike Wurtsmith was inducted into NACHC’s Grassroots Hall of Fame. Wurtsmith is veteran chair of Thunder Bay Community Health Service and the consumer board representative on NACHC’s board of directors.
“Mike is a strong supporter of Thunder Bay Community Health Service and Community Health Centers across the nation,” said Michelle Styma, Executive Director, Thunder Bay Community Health Service. “He is committed to ensuring access to health care for our communities and for communities across America. We are very fortunate to have him represent us all!”
Thunder Bay Community Health Service is one of 32 Community Health Centers in Michigan. It operates four sites in Northeast Michigan, providing affordable, accessible, quality comprehensive health care to residents of Montmorency, Presque Isle, Alpena, and Cheboygan Counties.
Wurtsmith has been on the Thunder Bay Community Health Services’ board of directors since 1993, serving as its chair for the past 11 years.
