Advocate to Reinstate the Medicaid Adult Dental Benefit

• Adults with poor oral health face serious barriers to achieving full-time employment and have limited employment options.
• Poor oral health compromises the ability to work for those already employed.
• Employed adults lose more than 164 million hours of work each year due to oral health problems or dental visits.
• Nearly 25 percent of adults in the United States aged 20 to 64 have untreated cavities, and advanced gum disease affects 4 percent to 12 percent of adults.

Reinstating the Medicaid adult dental benefit is the fiscally and morally responsible choice.

We urge you to take action today by asking your state Senator and Representative to support reinstatement of the Medicaid Adult Dental Benefit.
