One In Six People In The U.S. Are Uninsured

A Quick Look at the Number of Uninsured

– 11.6% of Caucasian Adults

– 19.9% of African-American Adults

– 41.5% of Hispanic Adults

– 28.6% of people earning less than $36,000 per year

– 27.6% of adults age 18-29

The percentage uninsured averaged 14.8% among the adults interviewed in 2008 and rose to 16.2% among the adults interviewed in the first six months of this year.
