The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has infused Community Health Centers with millions of dollars of stimulus funds to expand the provision of primary and preventive care to additional populations. At the same time, however, the legislation creates significant risks for Health Centers that fail to take adequate steps to maintain compliance with ARRA’s requirements.
Michigan Primary Care Association is hosting a two-day training on December 1-2, 2009, developed by Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP and RSM McGladrey Inc. with financial support from the National Association of Community Health Centers, specifically designed for Community Health Centers to learn from expert faculty about:
- The seven elements of effective corporate compliance programs
- The key legal and financial requirements for Health Centers
- How to conduct risk assessments, audits and investigations, as well as how to create a compliance program work plan tailored to meet the needs of individual Health Centers
