Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) welcomes Traverse Health Clinic as its newest member. The community-based nonprofit organization located in Traverse City, Michigan, is dedicated to helping uninsured and underserved residents of Benzie, Grand Traverse, and Leelanau Counties access health care services. It provides direct patient care at its on-site primary care clinic that is the health care home for approximately 1,500 people. It also operates a community volunteer provider network comprised of more than 485 medical provider volunteers and 65 clinic and Coalition Health Access Program volunteers.
Sixty percent of Traverse Health Clinic’s patients are from working families and 60% are women. The majority have one or more chronic health condition. Through its various programs and clinic, the organization touches the lives of approximately 2,300 adults each month who are in need of help obtaining affordable health care.
