By now, you’ve probably heard something about the new MI Bridges online application system for benefit programs ranging from Food Assistance to Medicaid.
MI Bridges is developed and maintained by the Department of Human Services and allows households to apply for food, medical, child care, cash, energy, and non-energy assistance, in addition to checking the status of benefits and reporting household changes.
To help organizations like Health Centers learn more about MI Bridges, Michigan Benefits Access is hosting orientation webinars across the state later this month.
Michigan Benefits Access (MBA) is a public/private initiative which has been instrumental in the development and launch of MI Bridges. It sponsors community outreach and local partner initiatives to spread the word and build capacity for application assistance.
The orientation webinars will cover the goals of the initiative, provide an overview of the MI Bridges technology, and discuss levels of engagement for community based organizations. Attending an orientation webinar is a great first step in understanding the MI Bridges system and how your organization should get involved.
The webinars are scheduled by region and two time slots have been offered for your convenience. Please select the time you would like to participate and click the corresponding link to pre-register for the webinar in your area. If you’re not sure which region your organization falls into, you can view a list on the DHS website or consult the map below.
